Korea Shipping Association has been assigned a Financial Strength Rating of A- (Excellent) and a Long-Term Issuer Credit Rating of “a-” (Excellent) by AM Best, a leading global credit rating agency specializing in the insurance industry.

 

The ratings reflect KSA’s balance sheet strength, supported by its stable capital x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-x-base and conservative asset management, as well as its adequate operating performance, established position in the coastal shipping market and diversified mutual insurance product portfolio across hull and machinery (H&M) and protection and indemnity (P&I) coverages. The ratings also take into account KSA’s role as the sole statutory mutual insurance organization established under the Korea Shipping Association Act.
